Yesterday, February 25, 2010 (Philippine time), Edna Romulo Laurente Faral, the Pride of Batan, Aklan, and one of the best Aklanon poets celebrated her birthday.
I hope that she and still is very happy during this memorable day.
Her birthday coincides with the Edsa Celebration.
Unfortunately, this momentous moment in the Philippine history was not declared a holiday. Last Monday, February 22, it was declared a class holiday throughout the Philippines but all employees had to report for work. And it was not a pasyal day for workers.
I wrote short poem for her:
Sunz birthday--
nagpueondo it pagsinaot
ro mga dahon it Sunflowers
Again, Happy, happy birthday to you Sunz.
